Before Covid, the Fall Flatlander was usually well-liked and well-attended, but there was increasing grumbling that the route had gotten stale. So, for variety, the first half of this year's version goes north of the Fraser. It's all Lougheed Highway except for a diversion over the Ruskin Dam. Dams are cool. We head east over the base of Mount Woodside, which is a climb, but not too bad in that direction.
The return half of the route is very traditional, including a stop at the Birchwood Dairy, as long as you are fast enough.
The route posted on August 14 is subject to change pending the preride.
